Liggeunderlaget får pasienten opp fra det kalde underlaget, og sammen med andre hypotermiforebyggende tiltak bidrar dette til å både forebygge og behandle hypotermi.

Du blåser selv opp liggeunderlaget, vanligvis med 4-5 innblåsninger. Hvert kammer i liggeunderlaget er forseglet fra de andre, så hvis uhellet skjer og noen kammere punkteres, vil de andre stadig være oppblåst.

The AirBase can only be inflated once and cannot be deflated without puncturing the material.
